Cedric and Salley's Happy Tail

Pawzy PoohPawzy Pooh was the first cat that we brought into our household, in November of 2004, that already contained 3 dogs. They were very accepting of her from the start. She was an early Christmas present for my daughter. When I first saw her at the shelter I knew she was the one for my daughter and our family. She was so excited to get Pawzy......it was a surprise!

Pawzy Pooh
She has 7 toes on each front paw and 5 on each back paw. That is A LOT of extra toe nails to trim up!:) Pawzy was just a tiny little kitten covered in flea and so skinny. All she wanted to do is cuddle up and get warm. Which of course is not how she stayed, but it was nice while it lasted. Now she is a full grown cat that is all about being independent. If she want attention she comes to you, otherwise she sits on the back of the couch, or anywhere she feels like being.

O'Dee OhhO'Dee Ohh came into the household April of 2005, he is the only male family member in the house, with the exception of my husband that is! He is my other daughters' cat, she felt she needed a cat for herself:) She was able to go to the shelter and pick him out. O'Dee made quite an impression on my daughter, so the next thing I know....home he came!! He is definitely the 'king of the castle' here at our house. He is a climber and very curious. Once in awhile we put a leash on him and take him outside to explore. By far his favorite thing to do!! O'Dee could spend hours on end just looking out the window. He also loves to sleep behind your legs and cuddle up in the blankets.

O'Dee OhhSince our adoptions of these cutie pies we have added 2 more cats to the mix. Lil' Miss Pygee was found by me at the industrial park at a sweet 6 weeks old, September of 2005. She was so scared I couldn't bare to let her go anywhere but home. Then came Marshi Mellow, she is a Bengal/white domestic mix that came from a breeder that was trying to make a 'cheaper' cat with Bengal temperament. Well when the business closed they were free!! My husband felt bad for her because she was the only one left in the cage....so that was December of 2005. Every day is an adventure at my house with these furry family members....4 cats and now.........4 dogs!!! Thanks P4P for all you do!!

CuddlesHere’s a picture of my daughter holding her cat, Cuddles, that we adopted through People for Pets. We fell in love with Cuddles (or he found us) while shopping at Barn Swallow in Spirit Lake. There are always so many cute cats and now we know where they come from People for Pets! What a sweet and adventurous cat! He loves his daily brushing, looking outside the windows while he waits to greet his family when we walk through the door and loves to be everywhere we are. His only problem, deciding which bed will be his for the night! Curiosity should be his middle name! He loves to find new adventures daily. We enjoy him so much—we think he enjoys his new family too! We are mostly grateful he found his way to a no-kill shelter otherwise we wouldn’t have found him at all. It was an honor to adopt Cuddles from a no-kill facility and I would encourage everyone to adopt from this shelter. The donation paid to adopt the cat is so small considering the amount of veterinary care the cat had already received!

Thank you, People for Pets, for such a wonderful cat!

Cedric & SallyI adopted two cats from your shelter last July. Cedric is a polydactyl male. His sister Salley (Sienna) is laying with him.

They are great cats! Thanks So much!
